Overarching Mott Goal:

Goal 3:  Support statewide systems to ensure programs are of high quality.

Specific Network Goal:

 

Foster a system of multiple pathways to ensure high quality Out-of-School Time (OST) programs.

Long Term Outcomes:

Access to a professional development system and quality assurance process for OST programs.

Short Term Outcomes:
  • Identify the elements of a high quality OST program.
  • Support a variety of professional development opportunities
  • Recommend the creation of statewide training and technical assistance programs for OST
  • Promote the importance of a quality assurance process that includes self-assessment and continuous improvement strategies and impact evaluation.

 

Network Elements:
  1. Element: Promote local, state, and regional professional development.

 

  1. Element:  Review and evaluate quality assessment tools: SACCERS, NAA accreditation standards, etc.
  1. Element:  To conduct a survey of OST professional development needs/strengths.

 

  1. Element:  Identify and promote OST professional development events.
  1. Element:  Monitor the development of a school age competencies/credential (OST credential)
