VA VPOST - Resources for afterschool programs - VPOST Virginia Partnership for Out-of-School Time


The Virginia Partnership for Out-of-School Time has compiled and categorized a collection of resources for afterschool programs that we hope will be useful to administrators, professionals, and advocates.  Funding and sustainability, program quality, professional development opportunities, identifying best practice models, finding free and low cost program resources and linking to professional organizations are the six areas of challenge we have used to categorize valuable resources for you to access.

  3. Program Quality – Resources on understanding youth development and quality concepts based on current research and information on youth development.
  4. Professional Development - Access an array of professional development and training opportunities. Highly skilled, trained staff are paramount to a quality afterschool program.

  6. Program Resources - Find free and low cost resources & materials for youth develpment programs.
