Mayor of Harrisonburg
Mayor Reed is the first African American female mayor in Harrisonburg’s history. Mayor Reed is the Regional Advancement Director for Eastern Mennonite University and is a 2021 graduate of the White-Riley-Peterson Policy Fellowship of Furman University. In addition, the Virginia Library of Congress recognized Mayor Reed as one of the Strong Men and Strong Women in Virginia’s history. Mayor Reed serves as the Virginia Municipal League Legislative Committee Chair and Virginia Transit Association Vice President.
