Virginia Partnership for Out-of-School Time (VPOST) is a statewide network that promotes access to high-quality out-of-school time programs, such as afterschool and summer learning programs in Virginia.
Our Commitment to Quality
VPOST works with programs all across the Commonwealth to understand what quality looks like, and provide professional development to support educator practices, knowledge, and skills.

Through developing a set of Quality Standards, VPOST has provided the field with a tool to assess program quality. The standards were intentionally formed broadly enough to apply to a variety of programs.
Policy & Awareness
VPOST supports local, state-level, and federal policy initiatives to coordinate resources that lead to out-of-school time program sustainability. Locally, we work with governing bodies and develop public-private partnerships in support of local programs. On a state-level, we make recommendations to the Virginia General Assembly. Federally, VPOST works to advocate for key policies.
