Representing the Shenandoah Valley, the Harrisonburg Out-of-School Learning (OSL) Coalition is led by Harrisonburg Mayor, Deanna Reed. Harrisonburg OSL meets on a monthly basis with members representing different organizations across the region.

Driven by it’s diversity, Harrisonburg is made unique by the 72 different languages spoken in the city’s schools. The programs within the Shenandoah Valley convene regularly via Harrisonburg OSL to share the ways they’ve had to ebb and flow in order to successfully support the needs of families in the community. Additionally, programs are given a space to promote their events and network with other players within the field.
